Ship2Storage Storage & Logistics Services Agreement

This Storage & Logistics Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Ship2Storage LLC, a Kansas limited liability company (“Ship2Storage,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the customer using the Services (“Customer” or “you”).

By creating an account, placing an order, tendering property for storage, requesting shipment or return of property, or otherwise using Ship2Storage services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.


1. Nature of Services

Ship2Storage provides warehouse storage and logistics coordination services. Ship2Storage is not a self-service storage facility and customers are not provided independent access to stored goods.

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Ship2Storage is not acting as a motor carrier or household goods mover. Transportation services are performed by third-party carriers.


2. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customer must be at least 18 years old.
  • Customer represents that they are the legal owner or authorized custodian of stored property.
  • Customer is responsible for accurate contact and shipping information.
  • Customer must update payment and address information if it changes.

3. Prohibited Items

Customer may not store or ship:

  • Cash, securities, or precious metals
  • Jewelry or irreplaceable collectibles
  • Firearms or ammunition
  • Hazardous materials
  • Illegal items
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Perishable goods
  • Any item prohibited by applicable law or carrier rules

Ship2Storage reserves the right to refuse, inspect, quarantine, or dispose of prohibited items.


4. Packing Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for proper packing of all items. Ship2Storage does not verify internal contents of sealed containers and is not liable for damage caused by inadequate packing.


5. Transportation

Shipments to and from Ship2Storage are transported by third-party carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, or freight carriers.

Ship2Storage is not responsible for loss, damage, or delay occurring during transit.


6. Storage Fees and Payment

Customers agree to pay all storage fees, handling charges, shipping costs, and other applicable service fees.

Ship2Storage may charge the payment method on file for recurring charges and any additional fees incurred.

Stored property will not be released while any balance remains unpaid.


7. Warehouse Lien

Ship2Storage has a warehouse lien on stored property for unpaid storage charges, transportation costs, handling charges, and related expenses.

If payment is not made, Ship2Storage may enforce the lien through sale or disposal of stored property in accordance with Kansas law.


8. Limitation of Liability

Unless Customer purchases additional valuation protection, Ship2Storage’s liability for loss or damage is limited to:

$50 per stored box or container.

Maximum aggregate liability per customer account is limited to $1,000.

Ship2Storage is not liable for consequential damages including lost profits, lost opportunities, or emotional distress.


9. Customer Insurance

Ship2Storage is not an insurer of stored property. Customers are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage.


10. Claims

Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within:

  • 7 days after delivery for visible damage
  • 14 days after delivery for concealed damage

11. Indemnification

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Ship2Storage harmless from claims arising from prohibited items, unlawful goods, or improperly packed shipments.


12. Arbitration

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Kansas.

Customers waive the right to participate in class actions.


13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Kansas.


14. Electronic Agreement

Customer agrees that electronic acceptance of this Agreement is legally binding.

  • Prevent fraud and abuse

3. Sharing of Information

We may share information with:

  • Shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Payment processors
  • Warehouse partners
  • Legal authorities when required

4. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience and analyze traffic.

6. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time.

Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy

Ship2Storage does not accept certain items due to safety, legal, and operational risks.

Items We Do NOT Accept

  • Cash, currency, or financial instruments
  • Jewelry, watches, precious metals, collectibles
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives
  • Hazardous materials or chemicals
  • Illegal substances or contraband
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Food or perishable goods
  • Plants or animals
  • Fuel, batteries, or flammable materials
  • Any item prohibited by UPS, FedEx, or other carriers

Right to Inspect

Ship2Storage reserves the right to open and inspect any package if safety or compliance concerns arise.

Violation Consequences

If prohibited items are discovered, Ship2Storage may:

  • Dispose of the item
  • Refuse service
  • Charge additional fees
  • Report to authorities

Customer Responsibility

You are fully responsible for the contents of your shipments.

Claims Policy

Filing a Claim

All claims must be submitted in writing via email to [claims@ship2storage.com].

Deadlines

  • Visible damage: within 7 days of delivery
  • Concealed damage: within 14 days
  • Missing items: within 7 days of expected delivery

Required Documentation

  • Photos of damage
  • Photos of packaging
  • Proof of value
  • Description of contents

Important Notes

  • Claims may be denied if packaging is not retained
  • Transit-related claims may be subject to carrier rules
  • No claims processed if account is unpaid

Processing Time

Claims are typically reviewed within 30 days.

Standard Coverage

All shipments include basic coverage of $50 per box at no additional cost.

Optional Increased Coverage

You may increase coverage up to $300 per box for an additional fee.
